Charles M. Coleman

Managing Director

Wealth management isn’t just about performance – it’s about giving families the clarity and confidence to focus on what matters most. That philosophy has guided Charlie’s 10+ years of experience across investment management, portfolio design, and comprehensive financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

As Managing Director at Pasadena Private Wealth, Charlie heads the firm’s investment committee while directly advising clients on complex financial decisions – from portfolio construction and risk management to multi-generational wealth and tax-efficient planning strategies. His approach blends rigorous research and technical analysis with a genuine understanding of each client’s goals, ensuring portfolios are built not just to perform, but to serve a purpose.

Prior to joining Pasadena Private Wealth, Charlie spent five years as a Portfolio Manager and Researcher at Nasdaq Dorsey Wright, where he traveled nationally, educating advisors and institutional investors on market research and investment strategy. That experience sharpened both his analytical depth and his ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable guidance – a skill he brings to every client relationship.

Charlie holds an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University and a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton. He chose to join Pasadena Private Wealth because of its commitment to clients and community – values that resonate personally.

Outside the office, Charlie is deeply rooted in the community he serves. He and his wife are raising their two sons in La Verne, where he’s a familiar face – serving on the PTA board, supporting local drama programs, and cheering from the sidelines on game day. In his downtime, he enjoys traveling, reading, and whatever project currently has his garage in disarray.
